Our Private Training Coaches:
Dario De Quieroz Pereira
4 years coaching experience. Former member of the Brazilian national team and PacWest first team all-star. Speaks fluent Portuguese and English.
James Fong
3 years coaching experience. National champion at Capilano University and PacWest award winner as a middle blocker and outside hitter. Speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
Ben Nesbitt
6 years coaching experience. Assistant coach at Capilano University. Speaks fluent French and English.
Brendan Zebrynski
Member of the Capilano University men’s volleyball team. Six years experience coaching youth volleyball. Second year with Smash Volleyball. Smash development team lead coach and second year coaching privates with Smash Volleyball. Trained under former National Team coach Garth Pischke.
Cole Appleton:
Member of the Capilano University men’s volleyball team and experienced Adventure Guide. In his third year coaching with Smash Volleyball. Experienced head coach and private lesson coach.
Parker Ormiston
Education Assistant/Behavior Interventionist. Head Coach for Air Attack and Smash, former player at Riverside Secondary, Focus and Fraser Valley. 8 years coaching experience. Speaks fluent French and English.
Darrin Moreira:
Founder of Smash Volleyball, former national team assistant coach, BC provincial team coach, assistant coach at University of the Fraser Valley, national level referee, level 4 coach with 10 years coaching experience.
Mike Lodewyks:
Secondary school teacher. Former coach of York House Tigers, former assistant coach, Mt. Royal University, Author of ‘On the Ball’ sport psychology book, frequent head coach of Smash programs.
Nadine Plett:
Assistant coach at McMaster University, former West Point Grey Academy head coach, former Air Attack head coach, former player at Richmond Christian School. 7 years coaching experience. Private training lead admin person for Smash.
