TRYOUT REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN: We have decided to move the 2025 boys development team season to fall ahead of the school volleyball season. Returning players from spring 2025 will have team fees discounted 20%. Invite your friends to play and they will get 20% off as well! About 75% of players that attend tryouts will be offered a spot on one of our teams. These are boys teams but we welcome all genders.
Fall 2025 Ages:
- 13U: Sep 2013 – Dec 2014
- 14U: Sep 2012 – Dec 2013
Developmental age and friend requests are important to us. We will consider developmentally advanced birth month January 2013-September 2013 kids for our 13U teams. We will also consider kids ‘playing up’ in older age group to be with their friends if skills are at a high enough level. Please make a note on the ‘friend request’ section of the following form. Our tryouts are fun with a lot of gameplay but please only sign up for 1 of the tryout days due to space constraints. All returning Spring 2025 team players will be offered a spot on a team but must register for a tryout.
13U and 14U Tryout Dates (season runs Sep to Dec 2025)
- Sept 12 at Osborne Centre UBC 6108 Thunderbird Blvd. Vancouver 13U and 14U 4:30pm-6:30pm REGISTER
- Sept 14 at Osborne Centre UBC 6108 Thunderbird Blvd. Vancouver 13U and 14U 9am-10:30am REGISTER
Please only sign up for 1 tryout session due to limited space. Those not selected will be recommended one of our weekly spring programs.
Team selections will be announced by email within 24 hours of tryouts. When parents receive the ‘selected’ email, they will be asked to complete a player registration survey in order to confirm their child is accepting a spot. You will be asked for weekly practice preference and friend requests.
Teams will practice once per week (9-10 total practices) starting mid September and compete in at least 5 playdays/tournaments. Once a week practice options are Ecole Anne Hebert (Wednesday at 7:45pm-9:15pm) or Osborne Centre, UBC (Friday 4:45pm-6:15pm or Sunday 9am-10:30am). We will do our best to accommodate practice location and friend requests. Most playdays are Saturdays at Gladstone Secondary School (11am-1:30pm). We are planning for 4-5 teams this year (spots for up to 60 players).
The fees for the 2025 season will be $725 including GST and includes all local tournaments and a practice/warmup shirt to keep. Once selected, players will complete the player registration survey where we will ask for a $200 non-refundable deposit (to confirm acceptance of the spot) and $100 refundable uniform deposit (that is returned at the end of the season when the uniform is returned). For those that qualify, support is available from Jumpstart and/or Athletics4Kids. Returning players from the Spring 2025 will get a 20% discount for the Fall 2025 season.
